Adding Insult to Injury

Over the weekend, my sweet bride shared with several people that I was injured and made up this really neat story of how I fell into a ravine. So, now as people are asking me about my huge injury, I get to explain that the "ravine" was about an inch, maybe two, high. Basically, I tripped and it laid me up for 2 days.

I remember in 2004, Eric was in the hospital on the 17th of the month three months in a row. I was afraid to let him out of my sight! Karen Carlson had suggested putting him in one of those human bubbles.

See where I'm going with this...?

I'm sorry, babe! I thought I understood what happened, but in the end I was SO consumed with caring for you, that I missed how it all happened.

This morning, I was telling a friend about how I was "being chased by dogs and I injured my ankle jumping over a hedge to save my life." He came up with a version of how "I injured it lifting a car off a hurt child in a parking lot." I liked that one too!
